Jun. 26, 2003: IKONICS ANNOUNCES NEW ISO CERTIFICATION

DULUTH, MN – IKONICS Corporation, a Duluth based imaging technology company, announced today that it has been awarded ISO 9001 recertification under the new ISO 9001-2000 standards.

ISO 9001 is an internationally recognized standard designed to enhance quality performance by companies.

The ISO 9001-2000 standard represents a significant enhancement over the previous standard and provides a framework for the establishment and maintenance of a quality management system. The application of the ISO principles provides direct benefits to the operation of the company, as well as makes important contributions to the management of costs and risks.

In 1994, IKONICS (then The Chromaline Corporation) was one of the first ISO 9001 certified companies in northeastern Minnesota and has completed the new certification six months ahead of the required date.
